Kent County Council is recruiting an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CwD) Team based in Sittingbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established service dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, ensuring their needs are fully assessed and met
  • Undertake detailed assessments and create outcome-focused plans
  • Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and other partner agencies
  • Support children and families through transitions and long-term planning
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with statutory requirements
  • Maintain clear, analytical, and timely case records and reports

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience working with Children with Disabilities, Safeguarding, or similar children’s services
  • Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • A child-centred, strengths-based approach to practice
