Kent County Council is recruiting an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CwD) Team based in Sittingbourne. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, ensuring their needs are fully assessed and met
- Undertake detailed assessments and create outcome-focused plans
- Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and other partner agencies
- Support children and families through transitions and long-term planning
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with statutory requirements
- Maintain clear, analytical, and timely case records and reports
Candidate Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Experience working with Children with Disabilities, Safeguarding, or similar children’s services
- Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
- A child-centred, strengths-based approach to practice
