Pay Rate: £42 per hour

About the Role

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children & Families Team. This role focuses on supporting children and families through statutory social work interventions, ensuring safety, stability, and positive lifelong outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, completing high-quality assessments, and working collaboratively with professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Child and Family Assessments and ongoing statutory work.
  • Manage Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases.
  • Undertake direct work with children, making sure their voice is central to all decisions.
  • Work effectively with partner agencies including health, education, and early help.
  • Prepare analytical reports and maintain accurate case records.
  • Contribute to safeguarding planning and multi-agency meetings.
