Social Worker – Court & PLO Team
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council | Pay up to £42 per hour | Locum
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council are seeking experienced locum Social Workers to join their Court & PLO Teams. These teams manage cases from the point of PLO through to placement order, offering a stable and structured working environment within a well-regarded local authority rated ‘Good’.
This is an excellent opportunity for social workers with a strong background in statutory children’s services to be part of a committed, high-performing team where morale is consistently positive, and supervision is regular and supportive.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage cases from the point of PLO through to placement order
- Undertake robust assessments and contribute to high-quality court reports
- Work closely with legal teams and partner agencies to secure positive outcomes for children
- Maintain manageable caseloads with regular monthly supervision
- Deliver consistent, high-standard practice in line with statutory guidance
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience in a statutory English Local Authority (as per DfE requirements)
- Strong court and PLO experience
- Excellent communication, report-writing and assessment skills
