We are working with the local authority of Hampshire and we are assisting in their search for a Qualified Social Worker to join their stable and committed team of professionals as a Social Worker in the Disabled Children team.

They need a Social Worker that is ready to help vulnerable children and their families really succeed and affect change. This Local Authority is known for its Outstanding OFSTED Report, easy transport links and excellent training opportunities.

You will be supported by Hampshire’s diverse leadership team that are always there to lend a hand to their Qualified Social Workers and take an active interest in their wellbeing.

This is an exciting and rewarding role, and will involve taking on a caseload of vulnerable children with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to disabled children and their families. You will be required to assess the needs of the child and their family, develop intervention plans, and recommend appropriate services.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of children's safeguarding and a history of working with disabled children. You should have a good understanding of the legislation and guidance related to disabled children, and a proven track record of working with complex cases. Excellent communication skills, an ability to work effectively as part of a team, and an empathetic approach to social work are also necessary.
