Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £35,235 – £39,513 per annum + ( £5,000 market rate supplement + £10,000 welcome payment (subject to guidance) + full benefits package)
Location: Herefordshire (Hereford, Leominster or Ross-On-Wye)
Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid
Herefordshire County Council are looking for experienced Social Workers to join their Safeguarding and Support Team. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake child and family assessments, identifying needs and risks in line with statutory guidance
- Develop and implement care and support plans to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Manage complex caseloads, including safeguarding and child protection cases
- Prepare and present reports for court proceedings and multi-agency meetings
- Work in partnership with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory duties
Requirements:
- SWE Registration
- Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- Post-qualified experience in safeguarding/child protection work
- Strong assessment, planning and risk management skills
- Experience of working within a multi-agency setting and attending court
- A proactive, child-centred approach with resilience and flexibility
