Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a focus on fostering? We are seeking a Part-Time Fostering Social Worker to join our team within a local authority around Gloucestershire. This locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £35.00 and requires a commitment of 18.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster Carer Support: Provide ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to provide high-quality care.
- Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers, evaluating their suitability and readiness to foster.
- Training and Development: Organize and facilitate training sessions for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Placement Matching: Assist in matching children with suitable foster carers, ensuring the placements meet the needs of the children.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of fostering cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions and support.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated support for foster carers and children.
Requirements:
- Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.
- Proven experience in fostering social work.
- Strong assessment, planning, and support skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being and stability of foster placements.
