Pay:  Up to £42 per hour
Contract: Full-Time Locum
In the office: 2 days a week

We are working with a Local Authority in Surrey that is looking for a Social Worker to manage their established Fostering Services.

They need a Social Worker that is experienced in making decisions to achieve the best outcome for both the children and families which the team are working with, often with very complex needs. This authority has a stable leadership team and the ability to contribute towards CPD requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for holding a caseload of foster carers and completing a caseload of special guardianship assessments and kinship assessments. You will also be responsible for providing a range of services to children and families.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and their families. You will be an experienced and qualified Social Worker, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and current best practice. Additionally, you will have knowledge of the standards and quality of social work services and a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

You will need to have at least 1 year of experience as a Social Workers in Childrens Services to be eligible for this post in Surrey as a Fostering Social Worker.
