Job Overview:
Are you a compassionate and experienced Social Worker with a passion for fostering? We are seeking a Social Worker to join our Fostering Support and Supervision Team. This locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £33.30 and provides the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster Carer Supervision: Provide regular supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of the children in their care.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of fostering cases, conducting home visits, and maintaining regular contact with foster carers.
- Training and Development: Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Support Plans: Develop and review support plans for foster carers, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and guidance.
- Placement Stability: Work to ensure the stability and success of foster placements, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide comprehensive support to foster carers and children.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
Requirements:
- Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.
- Proven experience in fostering social work.
- Strong support, supervision, and case management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being and stability of foster placements.
