The London Borough of Hackney is seeking a skilled Child Protection Social Worker to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of complex Child Protection (CP) and Child in Need (CIN) cases, ensuring all children and families receive the highest standard of care and support.

Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Section 47 investigations, to identify risks and implement effective safeguarding measures.

Develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.

Prepare and present reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, and other statutory meetings.

Work closely with other professionals, including health, education, and police, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and Hackney's policies.
Essential Requirements:

Social Work England Registration: You must be registered with Social Work England.

UK Experience: A minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience as a Social Worker in a Child in Need/Child Protection team within the UK.

Expertise in Child Protection: Proven experience in managing CP and CIN cases, conducting assessments, and developing protection plans.

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
