Kent County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Children's Social Work Team (CSWT) based in the Swale Office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, well-resourced, and forward-thinking service that places children and families at the heart of practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and families within the CSWT service
  • Complete high-quality assessments and develop clear, outcome-focused plans
  • Carry out child protection enquiries, safety planning, and ongoing risk assessments
  • Build strong relationships with families to support sustainable positive change
  • Work closely with partner agencies to ensure coordinated and effective intervention
  • Prepare clear, analytical reports and attend relevant meetings, including case conferences and court where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Strong post-qualified experience within Safeguarding, Child Protection, or similar frontline teams
  • Excellent assessment, risk analysis, and report-writing skills
  • A child-centred, strengths-based approach to practice
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
