Social Worker / Senior Practitioner – Kinship Fostering Assessment Team | Staffordshire County Council | Up to £33.30 per hour

Sheldon Phillips are currently working with Staffordshire County Council to recruit experienced Social Workers, Senior Social Workers and Advanced Practitioners for their Kinship Fostering Assessment Teams based in Stafford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive service completing Kinship, Connected Persons and Family & Friends Assessments for fostering families.

Role Overview

Position: Social Worker / Senior Practitioner
Team: Kinship Fostering Assessment Team 1 & 2
Location: Staffordshire Place One, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available
Hours: 37 hours per week

Pay Rates:

  • Social Worker / Band 1 – £28.55 per hour
  • Senior Social Worker / Band 2 – £30.57 per hour
  • Advanced Practitioner / Assistant Team Manager – £33.30 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing Kinship, Connected Persons and Family & Friends Assessments
  • Undertaking fostering assessments in line with statutory requirements
  • Producing clear, analytical and evidence-based assessment reports
  • Working closely with children, families and partner agencies
  • Attending meetings, supervision and fostering panels where required
  • Managing assessments within agreed timescales and service expectations
  • Contributing to positive permanency planning outcomes for children

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Social Work qualification
  • Experience completing fostering, kinship or connected persons assessments
  • Strong assessment and report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
