Social Worker – Child Protection Team – North Somerset

Location: North Somerset Council
Pay/Salary: up to £40 per hour
Office Working: 2 Days per week
Contract: Locum
£100 Weekly Accommodation allowance 
Will take adult social workers with safeguarding experience 

We are currently working with North Somerset Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Child Protection team in Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, North Somerset are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service. 

Duties

•    Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
•    Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
•    Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
•    Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings

What you need

•    Social Work Qualification
•    Social Work England registration
•    Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
