Job Overview:

Are you a compassionate and skilled Social Worker with experience in pre-birth assessments? We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Pre-Birth Assessment Team in a West Midlands local authority. This locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £33.30 and involves case holding responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Birth Assessments: Conduct comprehensive pre-birth assessments to identify potential risks and support needs for expectant parents and unborn children.
• Case Management: Manage a caseload of pre-birth assessment cases, ensuring timely and thorough assessments and interventions.
• Intervention Planning: Develop and implement detailed intervention plans to address identified risks and support needs, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
• Support and Advocacy: Provide support and advocacy for expectant parents, ensuring they receive the necessary services and support to promote the well-being of their unborn children.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
• Professional Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
• Safeguarding: Ensure the safeguarding and protection of unborn children by identifying and addressing potential risks early.

Requirements:

• Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.
• Proven experience in pre-birth assessments and safeguarding.
• Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
