Social Worker - Safeguarding

Lewisham | Locum | £37.52 per hour | Hybrid Working

Lewisham Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Service. You will work with children and families across Child Protection and Child in Need, completing high-quality assessments and delivering effective interventions to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children.

In this role, you’ll manage a varied caseload, undertake statutory safeguarding work, progress care and protection plans, and work closely with multi-agency partners. You’ll be expected to demonstrate confident decision-making, strong analytical skills, and a child-focused, strengths-based approach to practice.

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in safeguarding, Child Protection, and/or Child in Need
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Confidence in managing risk and working to statutory timescales
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies
