£38 per hour (Umbrella) | Locum
About the role
You’ll hold statutory safeguarding cases and complete visits, planning and interventions at pace. Wigan’s approach places a strong emphasis on restorative practice — building relationships, being clear about worries, and working with families to create sustainable change (not just closing tasks).
Key responsibilities
- Manage CIN/CP cases and progress plans within timescales
- Undertake S47 enquiries, strategy discussions and safeguarding actions
- Prepare for / attend ICPCs, core groups and key multi-agency meetings
- Produce crisp, defensible recording and analysis
- Work closely with partners (police, health, education) to reduce risk

Requirements
- SWE registration
- Recent safeguarding experience (CIN/CP/S47)
- Confident written work and decision-making
- Enhanced DBS (or Update Service)
