Croydon Council is recruiting experienced and passionate Social Workers to join its Safeguarding Service on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Care Proceedings
  • Undertake statutory assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and court work
  • Prepare high-quality reports for legal proceedings, conferences, and reviews
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners
  • Implement robust care and protection planning to safeguard children
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recording

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Significant experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection teams
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory guidance, and court processes
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced statutory environment
