Croydon Council is recruiting experienced and passionate Social Workers to join its Safeguarding Service on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Care Proceedings
- Undertake statutory assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and court work
- Prepare high-quality reports for legal proceedings, conferences, and reviews
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners
- Implement robust care and protection planning to safeguard children
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recording
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection teams
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory guidance, and court processes
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced statutory environment
