Social Worker – Safeguarding Service | Surrey County Council | £42 per hour 

We are currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Service at Surrey County Council, offering an excellent rate of £42 per hour. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and court proceedings
• Undertake high-quality statutory assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and risk assessments
• Complete clear, analytical reports for court and multi-agency meetings
• Chair and contribute effectively to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker (Social Work degree or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience within statutory children’s services
• Strong experience in child protection and safeguarding
• Sound knowledge of UK child protection legislation, statutory guidance, and court processes
• Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
