Social Worker – Assessment Team

Bromley | Locum | £39.04 per hour | Hybrid Working

Bromley Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Assessment Team. This is a frontline role focused on completing timely assessments, managing safeguarding concerns, and ensuring children and families receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.

You will work within a fast-paced service, carrying out high-quality assessments and contributing to positive outcomes for children through effective multi-agency working and relationship-based practice.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake Child and Family Assessments
  • Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries
  • Manage a varied caseload within an assessment setting
  • Assess risk and develop outcome-focused care plans
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners including schools, health, and police
  • Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate case recordings
  • Support children and families through effective safeguarding interventions

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
  • Strong experience within Assessment or Duty teams
  • Confidence managing risk and safeguarding concerns
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
