Herefordshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people with complex needs, supporting them and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
You will be part of a supportive team environment, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions while promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing for children with disabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits
- Develop and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and where applicable, Looked After Children plans
- Work closely with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
- Promote positive outcomes through strengths-based and child-centred practice
- Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- Experience working within a Children with Disabilities team or with complex needs
- Strong assessment, communication, and multi-agency working skills
- Ability to manage risk and deliver effective interventions
