Herefordshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they are safeguarded and supported to achieve positive outcomes.
You will work closely with families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver high-quality assessments and interventions, promoting independence, wellbeing, and stability for children with disabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits
- Develop and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and where applicable, Looked After Children plans
- Work closely with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
- Promote positive outcomes through strengths-based and child-centred practice
- Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- Experience working within a Children with Disabilities team or with complex needs
- Strong assessment, communication, and multi-agency working skills
- Ability to manage risk and deliver effective interventions
