Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team

Croydon Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a case-holding role focused on providing support to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the best care and support in line with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cases of children with disabilities, ensuring that assessments, care plans, and interventions are effectively delivered
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure positive outcomes
• Carry out safeguarding assessments and interventions as necessary
• Develop and implement care plans to meet the individual needs of children with disabilities

Essential Skills:

• SWE registration
• 2+ years’ experience working in Children and Families, specifically within Children with Disabilities
• Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice related to working with children with disabilities
