Suffolk | Locum | £35–£39 per hour | Hybrid Working (Minimum 3 Days Office-Based)
Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Haverhill Team, based out of West Suffolk House in Bury St Edmunds, with a satellite office in Haverhill. You will work across Child in Need and Child Protection, undertaking statutory assessments and delivering effective interventions to safeguard children and support families.
In this role, you will:
- Complete assessments under Section 17 and Section 47
- Manage Child in Need and Child Protection plans
- Work with children, families, and carers using a strengths-based approach
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely interventions
- Produce high-quality assessments and reports
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience in frontline children’s social work
- Experience completing S17 and S47 assessments and managing CIN and CP plans
- Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Ability to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week
