Merton Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Social Worker to join their Disabled Children’s Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and families in a supportive and dynamic environment. If you have experience in supporting children with disabilities and are passionate about delivering high-quality social work, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Provide tailored support and interventions to promote the wellbeing and development of disabled children.
  • Work in partnership with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring interventions are timely and outcomes-focused.

What Merton is looking for:

  • Experience in working with children with disabilities and a thorough understanding of the challenges they face.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a child-centered approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and partner agencies.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality social work and positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while working within a team.
