Social Worker – Learning Disability Team (Adults)

Lambeth | Locum | £32 per hour | Hybrid Working

Lambeth Council is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join their Learning Disability Team. You will work with adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and Autism, completing high-quality assessments and care planning to support independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Complete Care Act assessments and reviews
  • Develop and review Care and Support Plans
  • Undertake safeguarding adults work
  • Assess mental capacity and make best interest decisions
  • Work with complex cases involving learning disabilities and autism
  • Contribute to Court of Protection work with managerial support
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver effective support

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and autism
  • Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Confidence managing complex cases and multi-agency working
