The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join the Referral & Assessment Team within Achieving for Children (Richmond & Kingston). This role involves working at the frontline of social work, conducting assessments and ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments for children and families in need of support or intervention.

  • Conduct Child Protection and Child in Need assessments, ensuring effective and timely responses.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams, including health professionals, schools, and safeguarding services.

  • Develop robust care plans that prioritise the best interests of children.

  • Engage with families to offer support, guidance, and early intervention strategies.

  • Attend case conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings as required.

  • Maintain accurate case records and provide high-quality reports.

  • Work from the office at least three days a week to ensure effective team collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Experience in Referral & Assessment or frontline children’s services.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and assessment frameworks.

  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively under pressure.

  • Skilled in building relationships with children, families, and professionals.
