Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment focused on safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families in our community. We are offering a competitive rate of up to £38 per hour for the right candidate.

About the Role:
As a Qualified Social Worker within the MASH Team, you will play a vital role in screening and assessing referrals, gathering information from a range of agencies to ensure accurate decision-making on safeguarding matters. Your work will be key to identifying risks and ensuring that appropriate responses and services are provided for children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening and Triage of Referrals: Quickly and effectively screen incoming referrals, assessing and prioritizing them based on risk and need.

  • Collaborative Safeguarding Decision-Making: Work closely with partner agencies to gather comprehensive information on cases, enabling informed and timely safeguarding decisions.

  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Identify and assess potential risks to children, recommending necessary interventions or escalations as appropriate.

  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with multi-agency partners, families, and other stakeholders, ensuring a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure that all records are up-to-date and compliant with policies and safeguarding guidelines.
