Role:  Supervising Social Worker

Team:  Fostering 

Pay:  £38/hr

Contract:  Full Time Locum

Our independent fostering agency client in Reading is currently looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Fostering team. There is an incentive scheme in place to increase salary packages Up to £38/hr

As a Supervising Social Worker you will need to have at least 2 year post qualifying experience in a similar team and to have completed an ASYE. With this IFA you would be looking at a caseload of up to 12 foster carers.

To be considered as a Supervising Social Worker for this role in Reading you will also need:

HCPC Registration

Social Work Qualification

Recent DBS Check

At least 2 years’ experience + ASYE completed

Duties include but not limited to:

• To recruit, support and develop the skills of our foster carers to ensure that we provide outstanding care and the best possible outcomes for our children and young people in our care.
• To work in collaboration with all stakeholders and strive to ensure that the children and young people in our care reach their full potential.
• To provide a comprehensive, flexible and high-quality service to carers, children and young people in our care using legal, regulatory and statutory guidance to inform practice decisions and to safeguard and protect against harm.
• To understand and contribute to the growth and continued development of the Fostering service.
