📍 Location: Salisbury (covering Hampshire & Wiltshire)
💰 Salary: £33,755 - £39,547 p.a. DOE + £4,500 Car Allowance

 

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Supervising Social Worker to join our client's Independent Fostering Agency, a leading social enterprise dedicated to turning children’s lives around. We support children and young people through a range of services, including foster homes across England.

This is a maternity cover position until June 2026, working within our South and South-East Service, which was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in January 2022. Covering a small caseload of foster carers across Wiltshire and Hampshire.

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and self-motivated Supervising Social Worker to:
✔️ Support and supervise foster carers within a realistic caseload, ensuring high-quality care for children.
✔️ Work within a Trauma Informed Practice Model (ATIC) to achieve the best possible outcomes.
✔️ Carry out Form F Assessments and initial visits for prospective foster carers.
✔️ Assist with recruitment events and help grow our network of foster families.
✔️ Engage in Children and Young People Participation activities and events.
✔️ Work hybrid – from our Salisbury office, home, and attending in-person meetings.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Has experience in fostering (either with an IFA or Local Authority).
✔️ Holds a Social Work Qualification and is registered with Social Work England.
✔️ Has the skills to complete Form F assessments and present to panel.
✔️ Can work independently but also collaborate with managers and colleagues.
✔️ Holds a full UK driving licence and can travel across the region.
