Team Manager – Assessment – East London

Are you an experienced social work professional ready to lead and inspire a team? We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and driven individual to join our Assessment Team as a Team Manager in East London. This role is crucial in ensuring that children and families receive timely and effective assessments and support, making a real impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions are delivered in line with statutory requirements and best practices.

  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee the performance of the team, providing regular supervision, guidance, and support to ensure continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Case Management: Ensure the effective management of caseloads within the team, prioritizing cases appropriately and ensuring timely responses to safeguarding concerns.

  • Partnership Working: Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and the police, to ensure a coordinated approach to assessments and safeguarding.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of social work practice within the team, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative frameworks.

  • Decision Making: Play a key role in complex decision-making processes, ensuring that all decisions are made in the best interests of children and young people.

  • Service Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement plans, driving innovation and excellence within the team.
