Pay Rate: £41.42 per hour
Location: Lifford House, Birmingham
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office


Sheldon Phillips are working with Birmingham Children’s Trust to recruit a Team Manager within their Children in Care Service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive management team committed to improving outcomes for children and young people in care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective supervision and line management to a team of Social Workers

  • Oversee casework to ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred practice

  • Support care planning, pathway planning, and court proceedings as required

  • Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and organisational policies

  • Promote best practice and continuous improvement across the service

  • Work closely with partner agencies to secure the best outcomes for children

Requirements:

  • SWE Registration

  • Social Work qualification

  • Post-qualified experience at Senior Practitioner or Team Manager level

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Proven ability to manage performance and drive high standards

  • Experience within Looked After Children / Children in Care services
