Are you passionate about safeguarding children and making a real difference in their lives? We're seeking a dedicated Team Manager to lead our Child Protection Team in the vibrant North London area.
As a Team Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the protection and welfare of children in our community. Working within a dynamic local authority environment, you'll have the opportunity to lead a team of committed professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for vulnerable children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of social workers and support staff.
- Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate support services.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including health professionals, police, and education providers, to safeguard children at risk of harm.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of child protection policies and procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for escalated issues and provide guidance and support to team members.
Requirements:
- Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role within child protection services.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of practice.
