Croydon Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Manager to lead its Early Help Team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an established leader to shape early intervention services, support families at the earliest stage, and drive positive outcomes across the borough.

The Early Help Service plays a crucial role in reducing escalation into statutory services, with a collaborative, multi-agency approach at its core.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Early Help practitioners
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality early intervention services to children and families
- Drive performance, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement
- Provide reflective supervision, support, and professional development to staff
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated support
- Ensure effective safeguarding practice and adherence to statutory responsibilities
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within Early Help, Safeguarding, or Children’s Services
- Previous management or senior practitioner experience
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and performance management skills
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and early intervention strategies
