Team Manager - Fostering - Locum Position

Are you an experienced and dedicated social worker with a background in fostering management? An excellent opportunity awaits you as a Team Manager in the Fostering team with a reputable local authority in the East Midlands.

Role Details:

• Position: Team Manager - Fostering
• Type: Locum
• Rate: £48 per hour (Umbrella rate)
• Location: East Midlands
   

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of fostering social workers to ensure the highest standards of care and support for foster families.
• Oversee the recruitment, assessment, training, and supervision of foster carers.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the fostering service, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
• Monitor and review casework and performance, providing guidance and support to team members.
• Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
• Ensure that the voice of the child is at the heart of all fostering activities and decisions.

Requirements:

• SWE (Social Work England) registration.
• Proven experience as a Team Manager in fostering.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of driving service improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of fostering regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering positive outcomes for children and families.
