Are you an experienced leader looking for your next challenge? Sutton Council is seeking a Team Manager to join their Leaving Care and Children Looked After (CLA/LCT) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of young people in care by leading a team of dedicated social workers and personal advisors.

As a Team Manager, you will play a key role in developing the service, fostering a learning culture, and supporting staff through change. You will provide supervision to up to five practitioners, ensuring effective case management and decision-making. The role also includes duty responsibilities, performance management, and guiding staff in care planning, court processes, and statutory frameworks.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people, and experience in Leaving Care and Children Looked After services.

What You’ll Need:
  • Social Work England Registration

  • Social Work Qualification

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Children’s Services

  • Experience in Court Proceedings, Looked After Children, and Care Planning

  • Strong relationship-building and advocacy skills

  • Flexibility to travel locally and occasionally further afield
