About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Team Manager with essential MASH and Front Door experience to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. This critical role involves managing front-line safeguarding services and ensuring the effective delivery of child protection interventions. You will oversee a team of social workers and safeguarding professionals, promoting multi-agency collaboration to safeguard children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Provide strong leadership and management to the MASH team, ensuring high standards of practice and performance.
- Decision-Making: Oversee the assessment and decision-making process for incoming referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between various agencies, including police, health services, and educational institutions.
- Case Management: Ensure that cases are managed efficiently and that interventions are effective and evidence-based.
- Compliance: Ensure that all safeguarding practices comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Support & Development: Provide supervision, support, and development opportunities for team members to enhance their professional growth.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England (SWE) registration.
- Experience: Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a minimum of [specify number] years in a managerial or supervisory role within a MASH or similar setting. MASH/Front Door experience is essential.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in safeguarding and child protection.
